Outsourcing for hospitals

Home > For Hospitals

The Amethyst Group is deeply rooted in medical care for years. We understand the needs and concerns of a hospital and want to be a competent and reliable partner for you, your doctors and the medical staff. Agreements we make are binding for us. In the long term a successful cooperation can only be designed and implemented on this basis.

We take over and operate already existing radiotherapy departments. Where necessary, we upgrade them for you with the latest technology to create a modern radiotherapy centre.

Amethyst specialises in radiotherapy with state-of-the-art linear accelerators as well as precise and powerful software for treatment and planning systems. We are leaders in the integrated management of high-tech departments in public or private hospitals.

As a hospital, you are free to choose the degree of outsourcing. We accompany the conversion process personally and competently, we help you to hand over operations smoothly and without service interruptions.

Operation of the radiotherapy department in the "Isola Tiberina" hospital in Rome
In Italy, Amethyst operates the radiotherapy department of the "Isola Tiberina" hospital within the framework of an outsourcing agreement. For this, Amethyst entered into a partnership with the hospital order San Giovanni die Dio, Fatebenefratelli (FBF) for the oldest and best known of their 325 hospitals. "Isola Tiberina" is located in the heart of Rome and exists since 1584. Under this agreement, FBF has since outsourced its radiotherapy department to Amethyst. Amethyst has carried out an extensive renovation programme for the hospital. The comfort of the patients has been greatly improved through redesigned rooms and optimised workflows. By upgrading the medical equipment and software and transferring the medical and physical guidelines to the Amethyst Group, the hospital has since been equipped with one of the most modern radiotherapy centres in the country. Today, more than 70 % of the patients are treated with our modern therapy techniques, including VMAT and stereotactic treatments. The shortened treatment times combined with the longer opening hours offered by the Amethyst Centre now make it possible to start therapies without delay and optimise the outcome for the patients.
